We are looking for an aviation professional who understands airline operations and is interested in applying this knowledge in IT projects. Your background may come from hands-on experience in flight planning and operations or from relevant aviation education combined with a practical understanding of the operational context.
You should be comfortable with aviation concepts such as flight planning, aviation data, flight documentation, and operational constraints, and be able to translate business and operational needs into clear requirements and practical solutions.
In this role, you will work as a Business Analyst on solutions supporting flight planning and airline operations, including systems used by dispatchers, pilots, and other operational teams. You will combine your aviation knowledge with analytical thinking to understand user needs, define requirements, and support their implementation in IT systems

Your responsibilities:
- Analyse operational scenarios, user needs, and business processes in the aviation domain.
- Elicit, document, structure, and refine functional and non-functional requirements.
- Translate business and operational needs into clear, implementation-ready specifications for development and testing.
- Work closely with Product Owners, researchers, developers, and other product roles in an international environment.
- Support solution design, implementation, and validation to ensure that delivered solutions meet user and operational needs.
- Continuously improve analysis techniques, documentation, and ways of working.
Who are you?
Our requirements:
- Aviation background gained through relevant education or hands-on experience in flight planning, flight operations, or a related area.
- Good understanding of aviation concepts such as flight planning processes, flight plans, briefing documentation, and general airline operations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to structure complex problems and identify pragmatic solutions.
- Experience working as a Business Analyst or in a role involving requirements engineering and business analysis, or strong motivation to develop in this area.
- Ability to translate operational needs and constraints into structured requirements and inputs for development and testing.
- Very good communication and collaboration skills, with a proactive approach to working with different stakeholders.
- Fluency in English, both spoken and written (B2/C1).
- Readiness to work in a hybrid model, with 2 days per week in the Gdańsk office.
Nice to have:
- Proven experience working as a Business Analyst, particularly in IT projects and requirements engineering.
- Experience collaborating directly with software development teams.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies, particularly Scrum.
- Experience with tools such as Jira and Confluence.
- Basic understanding of APIs, data flows, and system integrations.
- Experience working with operational or safety-critical systems.
- Interest in improving processes, documentation, and ways of working.
- Knowledge of Polish, which is an advantage for internal collaboration.
